welcome
Jack-the-Symposium is a game designed to increase the fun and participation at the Undergraduate Videogame Symposium at Northern Arizona University. We designed this game specifically for the 2015 UVS "A STEAM Affaire." We have created fictional characters for the purposes of plot and puzzles! All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. These quests take place as a Pre-Symposium game. This game continues with additional quests at the Undergraduate Videgame Symosium 2015.
We hope you enjoy playing as much as we enjoyed creating.

The Designers
Amber Nicole Pfannenstiel, PhD, is a Lecturer at Northern Arizona University in the Rhetoric, Writing and Digital Media Studies division of the English Department. Her work focuses on the ways the internet rhetorically argues in visible and invisible ways, with online and casual videogames influencing theory. An early version of gaming theory that influenced this game design was presented at Phoenix ComiCon 2014.
Christopher Harnois is the Program Assistant for the Interdisciplinary Writing Program at Northern Arizona University. In addition to administrative duties, Chris works with cross-disciplinary writing concepts, and game-like learning principles. An early version of gaming theory that influenced this game design was presented at Phoenix ComiCon 2014.
Everett Bradshaw is a Senior at Northern Arizona University completing his undergraduate degree in English. An early version of gaming theory that influenced this game design was presented at Phoenix ComiCon 2014.
